The Challenge
To design a mobile app that accommodates a wide range of businesses and to navigate between them comfortably and intuitively.
The Solution
To sort the business list horizontally through a slide of icons located at the top of the offer page. A brief representation of the app can be viewed at the bottom of this page. In that example I gave focus to the promotion with large letters, and also added a “remind me button” (bell) and a “share” button.
Real and Virtual
The mix between “real and virtual” or “hardware and software” has always interested me. With Cinch I used this approach in some of the “coupons”. I wanted the user to get a feeling of a physical Gift Card that contains all necessary data including: expiration date, number of times each card has been used, virtual business types (if there are more than one). In other words giving the user to view important details in one place by clicking a button that "rotates" the card and provides that extra information.
